Rainbows Across Borders celebrated Christmas with a party at the Resource Centre.

Black History Month 2013 – Thursday, 31 October, 2013

CAGS and Rainbows Across Borders organised a display in Croydon Central Library during October 2013, tracing the development of Black History Month, the situation of LGBT people in the Commonwealth and other countries, and the contribution of LGBT people to the civil rights struggle. On the 31st of October RAB members gathered in front of the display, and then sang downstairs in the Clocktower foyer, led by Susan (in rainbow cloak).

Protesting opposite 10 Downing Street against the detention of lesbians in Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre

Jamaican High Commission protest – Wednesday, 28 August, 2013

Rainbows Across Borders members joined the protest at the Jamaican High Commission, Prince Consort Road, in protest at the brutal murders of 16 year old cross-dresser Dwayne Jones and a 41-year old gay man, Dean Moriah.

Eric Lembembe protest – Tuesday, 23 July, 2013

Rainbows Across Borders joined other groups outside the Cameroon High Commission protesting at the torture and murder of gay activist Eric Lembembe. Much anger was expressed against the Cameroon Government who explicitly condone violence against the LGBT community, especially those, like Eric Lembembe, who campaign and who refuse to hide their sexuality.
